RECCE FORM
Meaning and Purpose;
The point of a recce form is part of the preparation and research process to communicate with producers, access location and to perform a research methodology. It is important to carry out a recce, as they provide me with information that I can use to plan the rest of my film. I have carried out a risk assessment, taking into consideration all the risks that I think could occur during our production process when filming in the media room.
Chain of Responsibilities;
This is a table copied from the government policy Health and Safety procedures document.
This table is a summary, demonstrating the responsibilities of people within the different roles of production. This states the roles and responsibilities of everyone within production, which helps to identify what is expected of each crew and cast member. As myself and Anna are the only two people working in our team, we will need to read through this and decide which roles are going to be taken on by who. This helps production to run more smoothly as we both would know which tasks needed to be completed by who.
Example of Recce
These screenshots below show the location of our film shoot. Everything will be shot in this location. As we will be shooting at my house, a Reece form is not required as I have given myself and my friends permission to film here. We decided to film here to capture a more authentic feel to the film, to make the film more relatable to them, to create a more powerful effect of how this could really happen to them.
As this is the only location for our film, other examples are not needed as they all shown the same frame of location. The Reece form filled out by our teacher, was used as a formality in case we needed to use the media room for anything after filming in this main location. This was useful to have a plan B incase we couldn't film anymore at my house as a location. The media room would have all the equipment we would need and we would be able to set up productions to help the shots flow as well.
